Randomizing Resource GET Order When Using Business Simulation Software

One of the simplest things to do when process mapping is randomizing Resource GET order, it is also the most difficult one consider most people do not get it right on the first, second, or even the third time.

Getting the Same Resource Later in the Model for Business Process Improvement

Introduction
Being in the field of business process improvement for such a long time gives one the experience and know how on how to handle several different problems, when they arrive. One of my only interests for writing my experiences out is to be able to help others find and implement what I do, so rather then they spending hours on end trying to solve some minor problems on their own, will use my articles and learn from it in minutes.

Creating a Scheduled Customer Arrival Pattern Using Business Simulation Software

Today I will be discussing on how to create a scheduled customer arrival pattern in ProcessModel simulation software for use in process improvement processes. If you are looking for an arrival pattern where some of your entities will arrive on-time, some late and some not showing up at all, this is what you should be reading. To be true this article will help you ‘modify’ your current arrival pattern to all of the above rather than creating a new one and will help in fast tracking your work in the business simulation software.

Learning Business Process Mapping for Process Improvement

Business process mapping is thought about to be an adequate result when it approaches managing with certain issues confronted by business process improvement. It can be pointed as a visualization strategy or method which is suitable in strongly mapping the connection amidst each and every of the workflow strides.

Process Improvement Before an Assembly Line Was Physically Created

Working as a process improvement consultant I needed to recommend a production configuration for a low volume assembly line (500 to 700 units per month). The request seemed simple enough and I have configured many systems in the past, but all with little product variability. This assembly line was different. The product was a data storage unit that is used to house information captured from the internet. The product could be ordered with a wide range of configurations, which dramatically changed the assembly times and the quality acceptance rates. Standard tools I utilized in the past to calculate throughput and assignments of people were inadequate. I could make a guess, but that is all I would be doing.

How To Implement Multiple Calls To The Same Submodel

During a process improvement project for an aircraft engine repair facility, I have learned an interesting lesson that I would like to pass along. It feels like this lesson can be used in a broad range of industries. I am simulating the facility so that I can see how the impacts of changes in one department effect other departments.

Process Improvement of a of Pre Op/Post Op and Surgery System with Simulation Modeling

I recently performed a process improvement/simulation study of pre op and post op area that serviced a series of surgical suites. I learned a great deal about sizing of the combined system. What had previously been an almost impossible system to understand, with standard operations management tools, became simple with simulation. I analyzed the system and recommended room quantities with a six step simulation model. Because the model was so simple and results applicable to so many people, I wanted to share my success. I hope you find this helpful.
